I was responsible for:- Collecting various meal replacement products from supermarkets and pharmacies to compare them nutritionally to the one already used in the study to find a more balanced product for the study.- Updating the recipes on the website.- Using the McCance and Widdowson's composition of foods integrated dataset as a comparison tool.

      I worked as a new product development technologist and also gained experience as part of the technical department during a 6 week placement. My responsibilities included:- Attending product trails to test how products would be made and contributing to ideas on improvement.- Attending feasibility meetings.- Working on manufacturing specifications to set levels of acceptability and unacceptability to ensure a high quality standard was adhered to.- Inputting recipes using NutriCalc to ensure the customers’ demands regarding nutrition were met.- Working with the technical team creating allergen advice and ingredients declarations as well as the traffic light system was correct all packaged products.
