This could mean design / delivery of new or upgraded backhaul for new transmission site or facility, or simply executing the implementation of a fit for purpose last mile connectivity method using best in breed technology, either Optic Fibre or High Capacity Fixed Wireless or even G.FAST.   Accepted an offer for a 2 year traineeship from Malcolm Lewis & Garry Sholl to work as a telecommunications cabling technician at Sholl Communications at that time based in West Melbourne. The first 4-5 years Learnt many skills including understanding detailed network diagrams for he installation & termination techniques of phone cabling, data cabling & optic fibre cabling. Familiarity with best practise methods & certifications for brands such as Krone, Clipsal, Panduit, AMP etc. Gained basic knowledge in PABX installations & programming of brands such as Samsung, Alcatel, Commander, Panasonic, NEC & Avaya. An opportunity arose to become the Installations Supervisor & Account Manager. This 2.5 year period saw me gain experience in Team Leading, Project & Account Management, Contractor Engagement as well as job estimating & PABX sales.
