Professionally sound, authentic in who he is and in his desire to see you succeed (in life as well as in work), Shaun was a pleasure to work for and with. He originally contacted me about a role at Shopify that I ultimately didn't think was the best fit for me. But true to his word, he contacted me again once a more aligned role became available ~6 months later, and I took the job and began reporting to him. As a manager he provided the context and resources needed to get the job done, but relied on me to use my tools to execute. He knows his stuff and was generous with his knowledge, but he also kept trying to learn and wasn't shy about asking for help. He's funny, and doesn't take life too serious, which is really helpful in a stressful environment. I'd highly recommend Shaun as an HR Leader in any organization.

Shaun is a talented, dedicated HR professional with a deep understanding of HR practices and really gets to know his clients. In our time working together Shaun led the Business Partner team during a particularly challenging time in the company. He used his knack for building deep relationships to ensure he looked after everyone and delivered significant business asks. As a leader he was caring, compassionate and demonstrated vulnerability and authenticity. He actively sought to understand and solve the biggest problems. I would welcome the opportunity to work with Shaun in the future.
