  IIT Mumbai Worked on Real Time Operating Systems which gave an insight to developing real time applications based on uC/OS-II, a DO178B certified hard real time kernel. It further went onto compare RTOSes with Embedded operating systems and also dwelled in to Embedded Linux, which is the most preferred and full-featured Embedded OS for consumer electronics applications.
