Agria is one of the world’s leading animal insurers, specialising in small animal and equine insurance. Founded in Sweden over 120 years ago, Agria came to the UK in 2009 and is now a prominent feature of the UK pet insurance industry. In the UK, Agria insures cats, dogs and rabbits.I have worked at Agria Pet Insurance Ltd for over a decade and, in that time, I have learned a great deal about the pet insurance industry, become a qualified member of the Chartered Insurance Institute and progressed to the position of Claims Team Leader.• Claims Team Leader (Oct 2017 - Present) - I supervise a team of eight claims assessors; facilitate workflow and performance management; conduct monthly one-to-one meetings; complete quality assurance assessments for my team's telephony metrics and attend management meetings to help co-ordinate the implementation of operational planning.• Claims Assessor (Nov 2009 - Sept 2017) - I confidently and consistently exceeded my metrics, encompassing productivity; competency and telephony. I assessed a range of claims from veterinary and referral treatment to breeding and purchase price claims. I also handled pre-authorisations for treatment.• Underwriting Assistant (Nov 2007 - Oct 2009) - I prepared and interpreted monthly claim and premium bordereauxs and liaised with the Financial Ombudsman Service to manage customer complaints. I also conducted a monthly analysis and calculation of average premiums across our book of business, before collating and presenting the results using summary tables and graphs.• Claims Administrator (Nov 2006 - Oct 2007) - I supported the claims assessors as part of the claims admin team by: answering inbound calls and fielding claims queries from policyholders; completing ad-hoc admin duties and imputing claims into the system ready for assessment.
