I first discovered Green Magic Homes on a vacation in Panama 2 years ago. After some research and emails and phone calls back and forth with several key people from the organization, my husband and I decided to build our own Green Magic Home in Panama. He has taken the course to become a Certified Builder, and I am using my years of sales and networking to help them expand into the Canadian market. These beautiful and unique homes would be a great summer cottage, ski chalet, artists workshop, home office, In- Laws suite, or Air BNB style rental income. Contact me to learn more! Show less

Proud to be the newest member of the team here:Ernestine’s Women’s Shelter was opened in 1983 by a group of community members who saw a need for a safe place for women and children fleeing violence. Since that time, we have supported over 4,500 women and 5,000 child and youth clients. The founders were pleased to name the shelter after Ernestine van Marle, a local community activist who gave them support and guidance as they began the shelter, and continued to support the shelter’s efforts in ending violence against women and children until her passing in 2006. Ernestine embodied all the characteristics that our shelter aspires toward: energetic, community minded, supportive, and dedicated. Our Mission: Why We ExistErnestine’s Women’s Shelter, an organization run by women, provides support and shelter for women and children escaping violence.Ernestine’s assists women and their children in rebuilding their lives by providing crisis intervention and a range of holistic support services, while acknowledging the multitude of issues facing survivors of abuse.Ernestine’s adapts its services to honour diversity and the unique needs of the individual.Ernestine’s promotes awareness, education and advocates for early intervention and prevention. Happy to be back with Brain Tumour Foundation of Canada. I will be assisting with the planning for the Brain Tumour Walks 2016 - the main fundraiser for the organization. These events rely on many volunteers and local community support. Funds raised help Brain Tumour Foundation of Canada serve their clients with support groups, education, student scholarships and research grants. As the Manager for the Cycle for Sight event Ilearned so much about the world of Cycling and the logistics involved in planning a road cycling event. As a new Torontonian I learned so much about how many different kinds of cyclists there are out there. There are 4 Cycle for Sight events: Ottawa, West Coast(Langley BC), Toronto to Collingwood and Calgary. In addition, the Foundation Fighting Blindness has two other key events: Comic Vision and Ride for Sight (a motorcycle event). If you love cycling or laughing or motorcycles or want to learn more about the current research into genetic vision loss, check out our website at ffb.ca My contract here ended September 30 but I leave with new skills and new friends.
