Bio
Sam Robson
Sharon taught me much and more about being a managing editor. She struck the right balance between fair and firm in order to produce content to a high standard, showing a depth and range that can be transferred to multiple areas of business.
Caroline Taylor
I have worked directly for Sharon in my role as chief sub-editor at The Actuary since the magazine was relaunched with Redactive Media Group in January 2012. This has been a pleasure, as she allows you the space to develop your role without micro-managing, yet is 100% supportive. She puts her ample people skills to great use in an unusual editorial set-up that means she has to meet the differing needs of a wide range of stakeholders, as well as managing a remote team of specialist volunteer contributors and an on-site team providing writing, editing and art services. Faced with a problem, Sharon has a knack of coming up with a quick and innovative solution. She is also highly creative and has a good eye for presenting highly technical concepts that are hard to illustrate. She is an enthusiastic, hard-working and popular manager, and I would be very happy to work with her again in the future.
