As my role as senior support service manager, I work with the senior management team to ensure that the strategic and operational aims and objectives of the organisation are achieved. I managed the facilities management of the refuge and I am responsible for the health and safety of a multi site organisation, continually developing systems to improve the quality of heath and safety. I overseeing the financial management of a 450k refuge budget, working with finance to ensure that the budget is managed effectively. I am responsible for the recruitment, management and supervision of refuge staff and volunteers and I am also responsible for ensuring that staff and volunteers deliver a high quality service, in line with the Quality Assurance Framework. I work with the CEO and the senior team to develop the organisations strategic plan and ensure that the strategic objectives are made operational. I manage the refuge team, responsible for staff induction, supervision, ensuring that the team have the necessary training and development to meet the demands of the job and that staff work within the boundaries of the policies and procedures. I implemented a performance management and reward strategy for staff, setting targets and KPIs. I am an experienced designated safeguarding officer and ensure that staff are competent at risk assessment and risk management planning. I have a good knowledge of service users complex needs and have experience in sign posting and working within a multi agency environment, to ensure the best quality wrap around service is provided for the service user. I worked within a QAF frame work, monitoring and developing the service. I am experienced in HR (CIPD level 5 – Associate Member) and a trained facilitator for delivering training programmes to staff and external agencies, including training children and young people.
