  One of my proudest accomplishments is being a U.S. Navy Veteran. There's not a day that goes by that I don't think about the honor I've was given to serve our great country. Straight from boot camp in Orlando, FL, I took a military hop to Rota, Spain to join the U.S.S. Yosemite during a Med-Cruise. During my sea duty, in addition to Spain, I was able to travel to Italy, France, and Sicily. After sea duty, I was stationed at Dam Neck, VA with a top secret clearance monitoring data systems. It was during my time on shore duty, the Government was integrating men & women on ships. I was one of 30 women given the opportunity to be stationed on the U.S.S. Roosevelt, the first air craft carrier to integrate men & women together on a combat ship. There’s just something special about the pride of serving my country...it can’t be put into words! Show less
