My endorsement of Sharmarke's talent and skills is very challenging because no matter what words I use to describe his capabilities I will fall short. I have had the privilege of working with Sharmarke as part of the IOTAS engineering team helping him get the information and metrics he needs to support his QA efforts. While working alongside with Sharmarke, I have witnessed first-hand his passion and selflessness in providing support for our fellow engineers, installers, operations team, and our IOTA user base. He is an outstanding QA lead who is well thought of by both his customers and coworkers. He has successfully managed year long projects, new smart home implementations, and testing hundreds of devices, phones, applications, etc. with a work ethic that is to be admired. Sharmarke has great communication skills and is able to manage issues and prioritize goals, work with internal teams (i.e. developers and product managers) to identify concrete system requirements, investigate and determine root cause of non-comforming software, and train other QA developers to implement well thought out solutions. He does a great job keeping his colleagues motivated and in good spirits. He is great at building relationships with both business and technical folks, keeping projects on track and finding solutions when things get stuck in the mud. Any team would be very lucky to have him as part of their QA team as a lead or manager.

I've had the pleasure of working with Sharmarke on two separate mobile & platform development teams now, and I'm confident that he will fit nicely into his next support or development role. He is responsible and consistently shows up. He takes time to understand the products he is working on and shows an eagerness to learn (especially when it comes to absorbing different development processes and standards). He enters unfamiliar areas freely and is unafraid to ask questions. He's a motivated, helpful and capable engineer.
