Summer STEM Instructor
-
Jun 2021 - Aug 2021
I was one of six instructors for the Science of Smart Cities (SoSC) Program. Under this program, I helped teach middle school students about STEM principles and topics that make cities more sustainable, efficient, and safe. Some of the subjects taught in this course included electricity, power, energy, landfills, algorithms, smart transportation, and waste and water management. An introduction to basic circuitry, programming, and CAD modeling was also taught to the students; they were provided with a kit that included an Arduino board, breadboard, and various electrical components (LEDs, capacitors, etc.). The programming language used for the Arduino boards was C++. Show less
