Electrical Design Engineer

As an Electrical engineer, I am involved in designing and developing electrical control systems, devising systems to cater requirements of various equipments and components to required specifications, focusing on economy, safety, reliability, quality and sustainability.I work in a very wide range of sectors, including building services, manufacturing, transport networks and soon, as the organization expands, I plan to specialise in other areas of business like power generation, transmission and distribution, telecommunications as well as scientific and military research.I have involved in projects from the concept and detail of the design through to implementation, testing and handover. In some projects, I have also been involved in maintenance programmes.

Electrical Engineer

As an Electrical Engineer I was involved in various stages of Engineering of two Mega Power Projects1) 4 X 660 MW Bhavanapadu Thermal Power Project2) 2 X 600 MW Singhittarai Thermal Power Project.ABIR Infrastructure Pvt. Ltd. was the BOP (Balance of Plant) Contractor for both these projects.I was involved in the Basic Engineering, Design/Document review of Documents received from various consultants and also the various contracts and tendering operations of the projects. In addition to technical knowledge, I was expected to project manage and multitask. I also had to have commercial awareness to aid various flow of processes. Additional attributes, such as team leadership and management skills helped me handle the tasks assigned to me.

I received exposure to a wide variety of Building systems in my tenure with MECA Project Engineers Pvt. Ltd. MECA Project Engineers dealt with a wide variety of building systems ranging from Hotels, Multiplexes to Industrial Buildings. I handled design and planning of MEP resources here. I also handled design of HVAC systems as an additional charge over Electrical Design. I received exposure to a wide variety of Building systems in my tenure with MECA Project Engineers Pvt. Ltd. Engineer (Site)

AREVA T&D (I) Pvt. Ltd, was the switchyard contractor for 2 X 507.5 MW Udupi Thermal Power Project which was owned by Udupi Power Corporation. As an Engineer (Site) I was incharge of manpower deployment, generation of Daily Progress Reports and tracking overall progress of the contract. I was responsible for Overall Supervision of the Earthmat Laying Process where I had to deal with a dozen other contractors who shared the same work space. I had to streamline and plan the areas to be covered each day without affecting the work of other contractors which otherwise would have affected the timely completion of the project. Later in the project, I could also see the erection of other switchyard equipments as well as the control room equipments and panels.
