July 8, 2012 To Whom It May Concern: It is a pleasure for me to provide Ms. Shanthea Rolle this letter of recommendation. I came to know Ms. Rolle through my duties as a faculty member at Philander Smith College. Ms. Rolle has a bright, enthusiasm that is hard to miss. No matter what kind of problem I proposed to the class, Ms. Rolle would always easily solve the problem with a graceful, ebullience that happily brought the whole class to a clear understanding of the correct answer. Ms. Rolle has also had to work hard to get where she is, so there is not much that will ever be able stop her in whatever goal she strives to achieve. I happily endorse Ms. Shanthea Rolle in whatever endeavor she wishes to attempt. She has frequently demonstrated an exceptional ability to handle complex problems with the enthusiastic touch of a loving, caring, honest, and happy person. I feel that Ms. Rolle will be an asset to any institution and I have no reservations in recommending her to you. Please feel free to call me at 501-993-1459 or email me at whurst@philander.edu, if you have any questions. Sincerely, William B. Hurst, Ph.D. Assistant Professor of Computer Science Philander Smith College 900 Daisy Bates Drive Little Rock, Arkansas 72202 Phone: 501-993-1459 Email: whurst@philander.edu

Shanthea worked for me during the summer 2011 as a software research intern. Her project involved identifying and analyzing "serious games" in the 3D virtual world Second Life to assess how well gaming technology can solve enterprise applications. She concluded the project with a very nice poster. She was cheerful, on time, and I enjoyed working with her.
