I worked with Shannon for nearly 3 years and reported directly to her for most of that time. Throughout my career, I’ve been fortunate to have had several bosses that were outstanding. Shannon was one of the best – bar none. If I was ever facing a challenge, she was always several steps ahead of me with helpful guidance, often before I ever needed to vocalize to her what I needed. She had that amazing ability to perceive what kind of projects and roles you love, what you’re good at, where you shine – and provide you with opportunities to advance in those areas. Anyone would tell that’s just what leaders do - but Shannon did it extremely well; she was exceptional. She genuinely wanted all of us to be set up for success. Beyond being a wonderful leader in the day-to-day business, Shannon cultivated a fun and family-like atmosphere in the office. Her contagious positive attitude got us through several challenging moments and changes within our organization. The laughter and camaraderie we all shared under Shannon’s leadership will always be bright spots I’ll remember when I’m old, gray, and retired, looking back on my career. She’s an incredible professional, a wonderful person, and any team would be truly fortunate to have her as their leader.

Shannon has a brilliant mind for both marketing and sales, but that is just part of what made working for her a rewarding experience. Her ability to collaborate with other departments, fully understand their goals, determine the best course of action, and then clearly communicate her vision to the team made her unique. I was always impressed with how she matched the marketing needs of our business units with the strengths of her team. She consistently set us up to succeed and gave us equal parts of guidance and freedom to produce the best results.
