Graduate Social Work Intern
-
Sep 2018 - Apr 2019
The Psychiatric Institute of Washington offers primarily inpatient services for acute psychiatric patients as well as PHP and IOP programs. As an intern I was trained in case management for inpatient clients (youth, detox, intensive care, and general psychosis). I worked to complete psychosocial assessments, progress notes, master treatment plans, conduct family meetings, schedule aftercare, and discharge coordination. In addition to case management on the inpatient level, I interned in the Day Center where I helped facilitate skills groups, intake assessments, treatment plans, and discharges for trauma survivors in their IOP and PHP programs. Graduate School Social Work Intern
-
Aug 2017 - Jun 2018
My responsibilities as a social work intern was to work one - on - one with students who required weekly social work services. The students I worked with had either a 504 plan or IEP which require accommodations, including weekly social work services. We developed goals together, and in turn I create and implement an individual intervention plan with a quantifiable measurement for progress. Additionally, I participated in yearly 504 and IEP meetings with families and staff. Event Services Coordinator
-
May 2016 - May 2017
I oversaw day-to-day operations and managed the Event Management System (EMS). I advised customers on policies, procedures, planning, site inspections, floor plan design, parking, signage, fees, etc. In addition to this role, I co-advised our campus Associated Student Government, composed of Undergraduate fee paying students, who are involved in advocating for the student population as well as creating a positive college experience. I advised their sub-committee, Programming Board, which oversees collected student funds designated for campus events. Moreover, I advised a club on campus, HartATHON, which works to fundraise for the Connecticut Children's Medical Center. Lastly, I instructed a UNIV 1800 course, which helps students transition from high school standards to college. Show less
