In my current role with TFSS, I’m leading a team of 9 staff across development and logistics. I’ve significantly grown annual private fundraising and greatly increased the number of partnerships, donations and multi-year major gifts to exceed all growth expectations. I also run a program to distribute food and supplies to a network of 150 TDSB schools.I created a strategy to increase fundraising across the food, emergency, vision hearing and after school programs while managing HR, budgets, communications, technology adoption and other areas to drive the organization forward.Notably, I maintained donations and school supports during COVID-19 and following an office fire in 2019, while starting up a pilot food distribution program during the pandemic that provided vital nutrition to underserved students at 200 schools.I also established a connection with Charity Intelligence that has resulted in the foundation being named in the Top 10 Charities in Canada, which is attracting further attention from donors and prospective partners.

In my early years with TFSS, I played a key role in the growth of the organization during a time when it was branching out into new areas (vision and hearing, after school and emergency) and seeking to increase private fundraising. I grant proposals, conducted research, and made connections that secured valuable, long-term partnerships with key donors.
