  During my time at Scanning America, I worked in many different areas. I held a supervisory position on 3rd shift for 17 years. I enjoyed working with people and training new staff members.   My time as Assistant Manager for Scales and Tails Pets was very rewarding. I loved working with the variety of animals at the store. The most rewarding aspect of this position was time spent with the veterinarian while taking animals for routine check-ups upon arrival. The veterinarian took note of my avid interest in animal care and taught me about multiple species of animals, I learned a lot about reptile care and husbandry from the owners, who were avid herpetologists and bred a significant amount of the store’s exotic reptiles. I also handled store opening and closing and all aspects of animal care and customer service, from greeting customers, decorating and cleaning cages, stocking merchandise, and operating the cash register. I am proficient in the proper care for all companion animals, (birds, fish, dogs, cats, rodents and reptiles). Show less
