In collaboration with employers, the workforce development sector, and community partners, the Connecting Activities School-to-Career Coordinator assists 5 public high schools (8 in 2019-20200 in Franklin County with the integration of career development education and work-based learning experiences in order to help students make a more informed career and education pathway decision, while becoming more career ready.∙ Assist schools in developing and implementing a scope and sequence of career development education and work-based learning activities to help students identify satisfying and sustainable career and education goals∙ Update schools on regional, statewide and national developments, events, and resources to bolster schools' career development education programming∙ Provide training and technical support to school administration and educators: MassHireCIS Administrative and My Portfolio Accounts, labor market information (LMI) research, resume development, MA Work-Based Learning/Plans, career planning (ILP's/MyCAPS), and other career development education topics∙ Develop, coordinate, and facilitate a series of career decision-making and get-a-job workshops for students in Connecting Activities partner high schools ∙ Research, develop and promote career development curriculum, assessments, and tools∙ Advocate for the mentorship of youth in the workplace as the starting point of businesses’ recruitment cycle and a key strategy for creating a qualified and effective workforce∙ Expand and maintain career decision-making and get-a-job resources on www.fhyouth.org∙ Data management and reporting for schools and agencies in the Franklin Hampshire Connecting Activities region∙ Lead grant writer for annual Connecting Activities grant for the Franklin Hampshire Region
