  Currently working on developing mutant Cas9 strains in highly regenerative species (species that are able to regenerate trunk parts and whole body) to study whole body regeneration for insights into the pathway and evolutionary changes that resulted in the mechanism. Much emphasis has been placed on genes specific to highly regenerative species groups to identify conserved mechanisms.
