GO provides cost-effective solutions and delivers on time without fuss. Since 2001 we have been awarded over 300 water projects and have never been penalised for late completion.       V&D Engineering Service a privately owned business, is a Tier 1 Contractor to the Water Corporation (WA) and provides fabrication, construction and site maintenance services throughout Western Australia. My role as Projects Engineer is wide, varied and essentially covers all operational and commercial aspects for the business, including project scoping, project estimating, scheduling, project delivery as well as reviewing the safety aspects for the organization. I have a good understanding of aspects of civil structural, mechanical and electrical estimating and delivery and I am also competent in safety management. Key Responsibilities include: • Undertake the project definition, acquisition, scoping, design, and delivery activities. • Negotiate and establish contracts to procure services, equipment and works to achieve project objectives • As assigned and as required, carry out works inspections to ensure compliance with standards, contract documentation and Occupational Health and Safety audits on works and services contractors. • Develop and revise Risk Register, Safe Work Method Statement (SWMS) and Job Safety and Environment Analysis (JSEA) on a regular basis. • Communicate with clients and their representatives (design managers, engineers and experts), including attending regular meetings to keep them informed of progress • Day-to-day management of the site, including supervising and monitoring the site labor force and the work of any subcontractors • Plan the work and efficiently organise the plant and site facilities in order to meet agreed deadlines • Oversee quality control and health and safety matters on site • Prepare reports, Inspection Test Plans (ITP) as required • Resolve any unexpected technical difficulties and other problems that may arise. • Assist with the professional engagement with key sub-contractors, consultants, community representatives, suppliers and other nominated stakeholders as required.
