This Spring Break Study Abroad allowed me to engage in service-learning that promoted student learning, civic service, and community development. I worked in a classroom with 5th grade students helping the teacher create lesson plans, teach my own lesson, lead quizzes, and grade assignments. Campus Ambassador
-
Dec 2016 - Jan 2017
Among the best student leaders at Michigan State University, I was one of four chosen to be a Campus Ambassador on behalf of the University. The Israel Uncovered Trip was a ten-day journey in Israel where I engaged in dialogue with roughly forty other students representing universities across the country focused on the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, Israel political conflict, and proactive conversation on how to move forward. While doing so I was able to visit some of the most Holy Places known to mankind including the Mount of Beatitudes, the birthing place of Jesus Christ and the place where he was laid after his Crucifixion.
