Shane and I worked together on a complex and high profile research project that included multiple stakeholders and vendors from around the world. Shane was instrumental in providing guidance and recommendations that structured a program to generate deep customer insights. His understanding of the customer journey, expertise conducting customer research and strong leadership of the project team resulted in the successful execution of this global study. When faced with challenges Shane always maintains a calm and professional disposition, and his positive attitude motivates his team to overcome and learn from those challenges. He was truly a pleasure to work with and I have learned a lot from him.

Shane brings intelligence, enthusiasm, and thoughtful creative energy to any engagement. He excels at managing projects involving globally-dispersed teams of stakeholders, and he’s somehow able to consistently align diverse (and often demanding) teams behind a clear set of goals and expectations for each step of the process. Shane’s focus on the customer is exceptional, and I’ve learned a lot from him in terms of how to help product- and engineering-focused teams to re-align product and messaging development around the customer’s needs, pain points, and desires. I was most impressed with Shane’s leadership in developing the Customer Insight Program at GE Healthcare. Devising and ensuring alignment on a global framework for customer insight and value proposition development for such a complex organization was a huge undertaking. Still, within what seemed to be only a few months, we (as a supplier) had a clear set of expectations, guides, and checklists. The process was standardized and streamlined, but still flexible enough to adapt to the wide variety of GE Healthcare’s customers, products, and services. An impressive achievement, and we continue to benefit from Shane's leadership and hard work.
