SHIPPING DEPT: operate the computer software, printing labels, and making sure packages get put on the proper trailer so they get shipped to the right place on time. DOG DEPT: Majority or the labor done here is contracted work for Foster & Smith Pet Catalog. Make numerous sized boxes, operate blowing machine and blow stuffing into dog bed liners to correct weights. Stuff and box numerous types and sized dog beds and label with correct invoice. Inspect and remove any beds with flaws from being shipped. Operate compression machines to compress and seal larger beds into bags which allows them to fit into smaller boxes for cheaper shipping costs for customers. CUTTING DEPT: Measure and cut fabric from rolls to precise length and ply's to be ran through a computer operated cutting machine for mass production. Keep detail records of fabric being used. Operate two different computer ran cutting machines. Pull off and label different pieces of fabric after machine has cut them. Keep cutting area clean so fabric doesn't get damaged. Keep organized shelving units of fabric for fast and easy access. Keep cut fabric organized and deliver to correct stations to be sewn. RAINBOW DEPT: This Department is contract work for Rainbow Play Systems, making the tarps and flags that go on Rainbows playground equipment. Operate a slitting machine to slit vinyl rolls to a precise width for each size tarp. Operate a Multi-Head vinyl welding machine, cutting machine, snapping machine and rolling machine. Also bag, label, box, and ship tarps. CANVAS DEPT: Make all sorts of vinyl and canvas tarps, tents, storage container covers ect. Making precise measurements and keeping detailed records. WAREHOUSE: Keep organized records of all supplies, using a scanner. Deliver supplies to all depts.
