I went to college with Shane and although we never worked directly together on group projects during our time there, I have always admired Shane for their creativity, eye for detail, passion and confidence. I believe Shane to have excellent presentation and communication skills. I was particularly moved by the photography project Shane did in our first year of college. It really showed the care they had not only for the project but for their subjects too. It really was beautifully done. Shane is a warm, kind and friendly person, who I think will do very well in their future career.

Shane has done a range of professional client briefs as part of NWRC MEDIA Projects Team. He has directed, edited and produced work to a professional standard. He has industry experience and I have no hesitation in recommending him for professional work. He has been an outstanding student in his course in Creative in Media Production in NWRC Media, Multi-Media & Performing Arts School.

    • Trans and Non-Binary Officer
      • Jun 2019 - May 2020

Duties/Responsibilities: Attend weekly meetings, assist with the organising and running of events, manage and distribute the t-fund (financial assistance to those who are looking to explore their gender expression/ affirm their identity), organising trans and non-binary week, ensure positive representation of trans and non-binary people within meetings, events and discussions, respond to media outlets about trans and non-binary issues and provide appropriate support to members who are struggling or looking for guidance. Developed Skills: Teamwork - It taught me the importance of good teamwork and dividing work equally between members. Also, that taking initiative and stepping into other roles may be necessary, so working closely and knowing the functions of your team is important to keep things going. Responsibility - My role involved working delicately with language, information and people directly. It was a lot of responsibility but I’ve learned such responsibility shouldn’t be viewed as daunting. It’s extremely rewarding work, as it allows you to learn so much and engage with so many people.
