      I am working as Consultant Anaesthetist at Burjeel Hospital, which is the only private, hospital providing tertiary level care in Abu Dhabi. It is 220-bedded hospital with all major surgical specialties. It is a centre of excellence for Bariatric, Obstetric, Oncology and Major Spine and Orthopaedic procedures. My regular sessions include providing Peri-operative care for patients undergoing Bariatric, Obstetric, Major Spine and Joint Replacements, complex vascular surgery, cancer and plastic breast surgery, Ophthalmic, Orthopaedic, Urology and lower Gastro-intestinal surgery. I am in charge for quality control and clinical governance. I have established guidelines for Labour Analgesia, Maternal collapse, Post partum Haemorrhage and acute pain in PACU and Ward. I have taken special interest in setting up Difficult Airway trolleys in OR, PACU and remote locations. I have also given Simulation training in Airway Management for my specialist anaesthetic colleagues.       I was a Consultant Anaesthetist at HEFT (Heart of England Foundation Trust) with a special interest in Bariatric, Upper GI anaesthesia and trauma anaesthesia In my fixed sessions, I have delivered anaesthesia for specialties like Thoracic, Bariatric, Upper GI and vascular surgery and I have been involved in managing complex surgical cases including Lobectomy, Pneumonectomy, VATS, Oesophagectomy, Gastrectomy, Whipples Procedure and Bariatric Weight loss procedures. I had regular vascular sessions anaesthetising patients for endovascular aneurysm repairs in hybrid theatre settings, Carotid endarterectomy and major arterial bypass.       I underwent 12 months of advanced training in Upper GI/Bariatric anaesthesia at Birmingham Heartlands Hospital. During this one year, I gained confidence and experience in anaesthetizing patients for different approaches for Oesophagectomy (Ivor-Lewis, left thoraco-abdominal or trans-hiatal) Gastrectomy, Whipples, Laparoscopic Nissen fundoplication, Lap cholecystectomy, adrenelectomy, pancreatic necrosectomy and drainage of pancreatic abscess.
