I had the privilege of being a student researcher under Dr. Monfared while at Georgia Tech. I am happy to write this recommendation for her because of her creative approach to teaching, her level of expertise, and her compassion and kindness toward her students. Right from the first meeting, Dr. Monfared showcased her unique teaching style. She had us play a game with wooden sticks, and she was able to create a lesson through it. Her ability to creatively engage us enhanced our research experience and made it much more interesting. This creative engagement combined with her level of expertise provided us with a strong education in psychology and neuroscience. Our project involved programming, neuroscience, and electrical engineering, and Dr.Monfared was able to seamlessly weave these subjects together while being present for any questions we had. Finally, Dr. Monfared’s level of care for us throughout the experience remains unparalleled, and it continues to this day. When I informed her of an accident surrounding a family member, Dr. Monfared was supportive, while still motivating us to work on our project. She remained compassionate during COVID, working tirelessly to continue making a comfortable learning environment. I strongly recommend Dr. Monfared because she combines creativity, intelligence, and compassion. These traits have created a unique and enriching learning experience that has continued to inspire me throughout my academic journey. Sincerely, Egheoise Otaigbe

Dr. Monfared is a fantastic research mentor! When I was working closely with her under the Vertically Integrated Projects (VIP) program, her passion and dedication inspired many of us to conduct excellent research. Leading two complex projects, she proficiently managed a diverse team of researchers and collaborated effectively with other scientists. I am grateful for her guidance. More importantly, I am sure she can contribute to the academic and professional growth of many others while demonstrating leadership in the frontier of scientific discovery.

As an R&D Scientist at Innsightful, I'm involved in advancing our self-management stress wristband. I've initiated 2 pioneering research; one to diagnose burnout through physiological markers among healthcare professionals, and assisted in establishing resilience training through bio-feedback effects, contributing to life-changing medical technology. Collaborating with a dynamic team of 6 engineers and scientists, we've driven a revolutionary prototype and secured grant… Show more As an R&D Scientist at Innsightful, I'm involved in advancing our self-management stress wristband.
