After having worked as the Managing Director of the Corporation (RSRTC) in 2002-2003, I returned to the Corporation as its Chairman in 2016. With over 5,000 buses and 20,000 employees, the Corporation transports about 10 lakh people every day within and out of the state of Rajasthan. Grappling with the myriad problems of the operations while competing with the privately operated buses ( which often bypassed their legal rights), at the same time accommodating the social and welfare measures of the State Government were the real challenges of this job.
