  • Developed a Sentinel-2 image-based Chilean mine sites dataset (containing 150 Chilean mine sites where all the regions of the mine sites are polygonized in eight different classes, e.g., mine site areas, mining facilities, open-pits, process plans, leaching heaps, etc.)• Implemented semantic segmentation on the Chilean mine sites dataset with a U-Net-based architecture with a backbone of ResNet-34 architecture pre-trained on ImageNet data• The model performed with an accuracy of 89 percent and achieved a mean intersection over union (MeanIoU) of 77.5 percent Show less

  • Remotely worked further on the design and development of an ice-skating rink using phase change materials (PCM) (organic - paraffin) to observe the progress of ice forming on the surface layer of the rink.• Designed the rink (using SOLIDWORKS) according to the company requirements and simulated the heat transfer process (using Simcenter STAR-CCM+) to observe whether the ice on the surface layer remains at the sub-zero temperature when the rink came to the heat equilibrium.
