  My responsibility were to : Develop detailed design drawings and related specifications of mechanical equipment, according to engineering sketches design proposal specifications Analyze engineering sketches, specifications and related data drawings to define design factors, like size, shape and arrangement of parts Sketch rough layout of machine computes angles, weights, surface areas, dimensions, radii, clearances, tolerances, leverages and location of holes Compute magnitude, direction, and point of application of tension, compression, and bending forces, and develops geometric shape of machine parts to accommodate operating loads Draft detailed multiview drawings of machine and subassemblies, including specifications for gear ratios, bearing loads, and direction of moving parts, using engineering data standard references Compile analyzes test data to determine effect of machine design on various factors Modify machine design to correct operating deficiencies or to reduce production problems Operating and Basic Programming of CNC and VMC machines (Fanuc and Mitsubishi controller) May measure machine parts during production to make sure compliance with design specifications, using precision measuring instruments May use CNC programming software,like MasterCAM or SpurtCAM May use computer-assisted design/drafting equipment software, like AutoCAD, SolidWorks or Draftsight to develop designs Show less
