  I was working as a Drilling and Wells Assistant. My tasks include working with D&W engineers to prepare for drilling of the Mariner Field.   I was selected by my peers as the President of the Society of Petroleum Engineers student chapter at my University. I managed a team of eight people in the committee and was also responsible for coordinating monthly events. During my tenure, I was able to establish strong links between the University and the local Oil and Gas industry by inviting representatives from numerous oil companies to give technical talks at the University.I was also able to increase the income of the chapter by selling SPE memorabilia. The hard work and commitment put in by the SPE team was recognized when the student chapter was awarded the Outstanding Student Chapter award and Gold Standard award by the SPE International for the second year running.
