My role as a Technical Officer-Projects in the Field Operations Unit included the following: - Vetting ventilation design for commercial building to Building Code requirements - Statutory inspections during project completion/commissioning - OHS enforcement - OHS awareness - Workplace Hazard and SMART audits - Injury and accident investigations - Statutory inspections of lifting equipment Apart from my normal duties I was also involved in assisting the Manager Field Operations in his administrative work for example collecting data to prepare Quarterly reports to be presented to higher management. I also assisted in the formation of inspection checklists for statutory inspections.
