Undergraduate Research Assistant
-
Jun 2013 - Mar 2016
During my time as an undergraduate student, I worked in Dr. Tres Thompson's Alcohol & Memory Lab, and the Memory & Aging Lab. Our research consisted of testing the effects of alcohol on the memory and learning abilities of male and female FBN rats. They were also tested at various age groups to see the effects of age on memory, too.My experience in this lab included: - Regularly handling and weighing rats - Running Inhibitory Avoidance and Retention tests on rats - Sliced brains for examination and empirical studies to observe structural and physiological changes in the brain
