It was a privilege for me to work directly under Shafiq's leadership for quite a long time especially during 2007~2009 when he was CTO & I reported to him as head of NQP department in Grameenphone. I learnt quite a few things from his leadership that I try to practice in my career. I saw him as a calm leader under lots of stress still having 360 degree view & control on what is going on within Technology division and in the company. He was detail oriented but at the same time offered full freedom of work towards his reportees through outstanding empowerment & delegation. The company and the division had a very good growth during his tenure as we had a lovely working environment under his leadership. Employee motivation was at its peak during his tenure. I wish him all the successes both in his professional career & personal life.

I am lucky enough to got the opportunity to work under Shafiq bhai. Every time I talk with him, and every time I meet him, I came up with some new learning. For me he is a mentor a great leader.
