Shaefri is an Irish-Egyptian, London-based artist, who recently released her EP ‘Girl’. Her EP received immense support from Spotify (New Pop UK, Fresh Finds: Pop, Easy & more), BBC Introducing, UK, Irish and US press (Sunday Times Culture, Clash, The Line of Best Fit, DIY, Earmilk, Billboard, Hot Press & more) and Irish Radio stations (RTE 2FM, Cork 96FM, RTE 1FM, Newstalk (Hot Press new music segment), Dublin City FM, WRLFM & more). Following the success of her ‘Girl EP’ she signed with Warners’ boutique publisher, ‘W Songs’ and has secured syncs on shows across ITV, Netflix, Amazon Prime and ABC, amongst others. She was selected to perform at Ireland Music Weeks’ three day festival as one of their 50 emerging artists, alongside CMAT and Denise Chaila and has worked with brands such as Sephora. Shaefri is an accomplished songwriter and continues to write for acts across the Because Music & Ed Banger rosters, has featured on ‘Hundred’ by ‘Fabich’, ‘Aware’ by FADES and co-wrote the soundtrack for ‘Binti’, one of three films selected in its category at Sundance Film Festival. Shaefri will also feature on the soundtrack of two new indie films, IFTA-nominated ‘Who We Love’ and ‘Spears’ in 2023.Shaefri is a skilled live performer, having played shows across the UK, at venues such as The Roundhouse, The Borderline, Bush Hall, The Social, The Old Blue Last, The Troubadour, Notting Hill Arts Club, Hoxton Bar & Kitchen, The Bedford and in Ireland, at venues such as Whelans’ in Dublin and Monroe’s in Galway. Shaefri is currently working on new material for release in 2023, via her own independent label, 'Off The Record', having recently released her critically acclaimed single, ‘Warm Water’, co-written with Good Scott (signed to LAB records).
