  Working at AMS taught me real world applications for data collection, wrangling, cleaning, analyzation, prediction modeling, and eventually visualization. Furthermore, it taught me how to communicate analytical information in a way that those who do not have experience in the field can understand it. • Cleaning and transforming large datasets using R, including creating custom fields for better predictive model performance. • Using those cleaned datasets to gain insights into what was causing the factory machinery to shut down, and predictive machine learning models to understand when the machines were at risk of shutdown and prevent it. • Taking my findings and writing reports for management so they can understand the importance of the ework, and how they can implement it to help reduce losses due to machinery shutdown.
