Principal Conductor of the Symphonic Band, Concert Band, Jazz Ensembles and Marching Band. Oversees the instruction of nearly 195 students in band, jazz, color guard and percussion education. Manages the band program staff. Maintains budget requisitions between the school district and parent music booster association. The Golden Ram Marching Band is a 5-time Bands of America Regional Finalist; the 2012, 2013, 2014, and 2015 Atlantic Coast Champions for TOB Group IV as well as the 2013, 2014, 2016, 2017, and 2018 Cavalcade of Bands Open Class Champion. The Spring-Ford Symphonic Winds performed at the 2016 Pennsylvania Music Educators Association (PMEA) In-Service State Convention. Show less

• Researched, created and taught a new course for Music Technology focusing on digital composition through use of Garageband and iMovie. Classes concentrated on sampling and current trends in music production. • Completed a personal professional development project that observed several colleagues in the classroom. Used observational experiences to determine new strategies for classroom management. Included was use of technological visual aids to enhance the student kinesthetic experience. • Introduced higher performance standards of the concert, jazz and marching ensembles by creating and implementing a new curriculum that focused on a comprehensive musical model. • Led the initiative to elevate prestige and awareness of the band program including an increased student participation of 20 percent. • Developed a strategic framework, where none existed, for student leadership within the classroom resulting in increased enthusiasm and ownership towards music and the band program. • Researched, created and taught a new course for Music Technology focusing on digital composition.
