I have known Dr. Setareh Amiri since 2002 at which time has been pursuing her master’s degree in Textile Engineering, specifically Textile Chemistry and Fiber Science. As a researcher and engineer, Dr. Amiri has shown to be very focused, disciplined, and diligent. She has been able to meet deadlines and pursue her work with minimum supervision. That being said, she is a very interdisciplinary researcher and is eager to work and collaborate with others with great care and sense of collegiality as an attest to this, I can mention her helps with several other supervisors, helping some members of their research groups with textile chemistry, polymer, scientific and engineering software and even teaching experimental techniques or IT problems. I must add that Dr. Amiri has been an asset to our research groups at IUT. She has very highly developed technical skills. She is an expert in diverse forms of polymer synthesis, dyeing process, fibers, R&D, and experimental techniques. She is also an expert in the use of an array of modern instruments and the interpretation of the results from these instrumentation techniques. While pursuing her master’s degree and her Ph.D. program, Dr. Amiri has been involved in several industrial companies. Dr. Setareh Amiri has excellent communication and motivational skills, which has contributed very strongly to the excellent employees and employers outcomes, and is highly regarded by both her colleagues, managers, and supervisors. To my knowledge, Dr. Setareh Amiri has been gifted been natural born managing skills being able to help others in the group to reach decisions and carrying out their responsibilities. As a person, Dr. Amiri has always been a very social and fun person to have around she has always been fair to everyone around her and has always tried to be helpful to her friends.
