Andrea Tino
Serhiy worked at Inpay as a Junior BackEnd Engineer Consultant, hired through InterLogic. I have been his manager during his whole time at the company. Despite my reluctancy in adding a Junior profile to the Team, I followed InterLogic’s recommendation and hired him. Since that time, Serhiy has been a key contributor to the Team, showing a level of self-organization, self-drive, independence and delivery tempo which, definitely, lie outside the skill spectrum of a Junior Developer. Notwithstanding the above-the-bar expertise level, Serhiy always acknowledged his early experience, and always sought feedback and help from his senior peers to validate his assumptions, review his implementation choices, and learn. Given all the above, it has been a pleasant experience working with Sirhiy. I have been able to rely on him since the very first weeks on the project, giving him tasks covering different areas of the product and the codebase. Thanks to his ability to switch between different development domains, Serhiy was able to quickly gain his very own ownership areas, making him an SME whom team members and I could contact and trust when issues came up or knowledge sharing was necessary. He has a product-oriented focus and high collaboration skills which allow him to constantly challenge design choices and engage in conversations on solutions when he has different ideas, making him an ideal companion for problem solving. Serhiy was able to provide great contribution to the project. He implemented new functionalities and extended existing components in the .NET microservices of the PostalPay System, he helped improving .NET MVC web applications, he worked with different Azure technologies for distributed systems, and helped improving the product’s monitoring and alerting capabilities for even better service quality. Serhiy played a key role in the team: his dedication, skills and professionalism exceeded the initial expectations, he grew so much in the span of nearly 1 year. I recommend every company to hire him, I believe Serhiy will make a quick transition to a more senior level in short time.
