  • Respond to emergency medical request (i.e.; pre-hospital care, transferring patient, internal and external environmental disasters) . • Provides emergency medical treatment in accordance with protocol established by KAMC. • Provides medical treatments as appropriate which may include starting of intravenous ines, assisting in intubation of the patient, use of cardiac monitors and defibrillators and administering of various drugs as ordered by the MRP. • Stabilizes victim with life threatening problems such as trauma, cardiac or other medical emergencies; (splinting, immobilization, suctioning of airways, stop bleeding techniques). • Administers medication as prescribed by MRP (i.e.; oral, intra-muscular, intra-venous, drip, titrate). • Monitors patients condition inside ambulance checks patient vital signs, respiration, blood pressure, pulse. • Conducts daily inspection and cleaning of assigned ambulance and requisition of equipment and supplies needed which will ensure the availability of properly equipped ambulance. • Properly interacting and communicating with fire and law enforcement responders at the scene. • Safely lifting the patient from his or her initial location into the ambulance for transport.
