Sergii is a data science and engineering extraordinaire. When I joined Altana, Sergii was one of the first Data Scientists I got to work with. I was impressed to find that he had already immersed himself in the complicated global trade domain while at the same time doing the hard work of trying to make sense of it all. Sergii is a unique and special asset to any company fortunate to work with him. I was originally struck by his ability to make complicated Data Science topics accessible for less-technical business people and how he always made himself available to answer even the most basic DS questions. Sergii is a quick learner and a big thinker. In my opinion, I don't think there's anything he can't do or figure out. We only worked together for 1+ years but in that time he made me a better employee by helping me approach my own domain knowledge in new ways. Also that time, his mix of data science and engineering skills played an integral role in the development of our HS code classifier logic and his positive energy, thirst for knowledge, willingness to try new approaches made him a standout coworker. Our working relationship was remote since our time together spanned 2020-21 and it’s unfortunate that we didn’t get to spend in-person time together. That said, we accomplished a tremendous amount in that time thanks to his flexible communication style. I will miss working with Sergii and look forward to watching his career evolve as he continues to do great things with his genuine enthusiasm to take on hard problems.

Sergii combines skills of data scientist and software engineer which allows him to build sophisticated, production-quality solutions. He stays on top of the latest research in machine learning and pragmatically incorporates new approaches into his work. Hard working and dedicated, Sergii delivers work on time and his attention to details exceeds expectations.
