Growing Gardens

  For my internship,I taught a fun and interactive curriculum to students in grades k-5th. The main focuses of lessons were to teach the students about the environment, where our food comes from, what worms and bees do to help our food grow, as well as educating on how to eat healthy and what healthy snacks you can make straight from the garden.I also helped the growers harvest vegetables, prep the garden for winter and work with the students in the peace garden educating them about… For my internship,I taught a fun and interactive curriculum to students in grades k-5th. The students were able to gain hands on experience from picking their own produce that we would later make a snack from, as well as learning about all the different plants and how seasons affect plant growth. One of my favorite things that I did while at growing gardens was being part of distributing produce bags to students in Title one schools. Every thursday morning we would sort and weight produce that we grew, plus some that was donated to us and make produce bags to give to students and their families in need. It was so rewarding to be part of such an amazing programs, Growing Gardens is an AMAZING non-profit. I learned so much during my internship! Show more Show less

The fun, unique restaurant and hotel driven by the tourist attractions of the hotels decor and themed rooms made for everyday being filled with fun and excitement!
