  Serving as an Americorps VISTA at Plenitud PR, a non-profit, educational permaculture farm in Las Marias, Puerto Rico, I am responsible for optimizing the usage of the organizations cloud-based systems for storing contact information and conducting communications in an effort to increase efficiency and productivity. This includes overseeing and helping manage Plenitud's marketing, promotion, and social media efforts by establishing protocols and cohesive style across all communication platforms. These efforts are especially relevant as remote collaborations are being increasingly used. I also am helping to assist with organizing and carrying out the organizations quarterly fundraisers, strengthening donor relationships, bringing more awareness to the organization by recruiting new volunteers, and creating the first annual report for the organization to share with donors and Plenitud's broader network. The ultimate goal of my service is to help build the capacity of Plenitud through organization and sustainable relationships, so it may grow to help meet the needs of the community and its educational services. By engaging in outside the classroom activities, the students were better able to build social relationships with each other and their mentors.
