  Muscat International Airport Project (647.000 m2) Bechtel& Enka as a joint venture is a Consortium with Bahwan (MEP works). BEB is the "Main Contractor 3" with design and build contract for the following buildings: Passenger Terminal Building, North& West& South Pier's, Traffic Concourse, Forecourt Complex, North& South Car Park, Open Car Park, Maintenance Yard, Ancillary Buildings. The Muscat International Airport Project is the largest project in Oman history and is designed to serve 12 million passengers, considering for a future expansion up to 36 million passengers per annum. The project consist of 29 Bridge Houses with a total of 40 moveable Boarding Bridge connections serving to 33 airplane standing points. The total covered building area is 647.000 m2. The scope of works covers approximately 470.000 m3 of concrete works, 80.000 tons of rebar works, 4.000.000 m3 of earthworks, 30.000 tons of structural steel, 135.000 m2 of facade, 175.000 m2 of roofing, 225.000 m2 block works, 600.000 m2 of floor and 600.000 m2 of wall covering works.
