It was a pleasure working with Senaida at ACE virtual events. Having the opportunity to work with a freelance writer was an unexpected and wonderful surprise when I started my apprenticeship with ACE Virtual events. Senaida was always responsive and available to discuss things. She was open to ideas and working together. I learnt a lot about the freelance writing side of things. Senaida was very easy to work with and I would recommend her to anyone and would work with her again anytime!

I started offering private tutoring when I was 16 as a way to have money for extra expenses while obtaining my Associate’s Degree. I enjoyed it so much that I still do it today. I have worked with students from ages 4-17, and I have tutored them in various subjects. I identify students’ individual learning needs and work with them to improve their knowledge in certain subjects. All of the students I’ve worked with showed significant improvement in their grades, as I worked closely and individually with them, helping them with assignments and preparing them for tests and exams. My first experience in tech was when I was given the opportunity to work as a Tech Support staff member for Reps Events, a company that hosts virtual events on the Remo platform. As tech support, I had to attend virtual events hosted by the company and be present to troubleshoot attendees’ mics, cameras, and speakers and ensure their tech was working properly. I had to proactively reach out to attendees and monitor the general chat for tech related comments. I had to reach out to any attendee experiencing tech issues and stay with that guest until their issue was resolved. For a smooth event, I would communicate any issues to the lead tech and keep them informed of progress made. Show less

    • Accounts Payable Clerk
      • Feb 2016 - Oct 2019

I worked in the main office of a construction company for almost four years, where I held the positions of administrative assistant and accounts payable clerk. I also performed other roles, such as payroll clerk and inventory clerk. As an administrative assistant, I provided administrative support to ensure that the day-to-day operations of the office were efficient. I was responsible for taking calls and greeting walk-in customers. I addressed visitors’ questions politely and directed them accordingly. I scheduled meetings and made travel arrangements for senior staff. I ensured operations of heavy equipment by calling for repairs and maintaining equipment inventories. During this time, I was also the payroll clerk, responsible for all tasks pertaining to payroll processes, such as collecting timesheets from site supervisors, calculating wages based on hourly or daily rates, including taxes and social security deductions, preparing and issuing paychecks. After two years, I was promoted to the position of Accounts Payable Clerk, where I was in charge of receiving, processing, and verifying invoices related to accounts payables. I also took on the role of inventory clerk, as I had to regularly check past inventories, and incoming items to our several warehouses. Show less

    • Fifth Grade Teacher
      • Sep 2013 - Jul 2014

I was a homeroom teacher to an adorable set of fifth graders for a year. During that time, I developed and executed detailed lesson plans based on individual student’s abilities. I provided individual attention to a few students who had special needs, creating specialized assignments and homeworks for them. I taught a variety of subjects, including English, Math, Science, Reading, Spanish, and Drawing. I made use of a wide array of teaching strategies, such as group discussions, presentations, projects, outdoor activities, etc. and taught key topics using easy-to-understand concepts. I also prepared my students for their English Belize Junior Achievement Test (BJAT) by offering extra classes based on topics covered in past BJAT papers. Meeting with parents and evaluating students’ progress was done on a regular basis. Show less
