This would entail the shelter advocate communicate with the client's primary advocate as well as other potential collaterals to help client's feel more empowered as well as supported by the entire ATASK team. - Manage and answer hotline calls from survivor and others seeking information about domestic violence. Hotline calls range from providing information and referrals, to safety planning with survivors. - Provide direct service and case management, including financial, housing, education, and professional development. This also includes assisting the client navigate different services and coordinate care with other professionals outside the agency to assist the client to the best of our ability. - Collaborate with partnerships to bring better services and assistance to families in the shelter (e.g. BHCHP, Horizons, the Home, Birthday Wishes). These services can be found as parts of direct services, CBPs, and children's needs.
