Nampak Plastics Europe Limited is one of the leading plastic bottle manufacturers in the UK, supplying over a billion single and multi-layer bottles every year to the liquid food and drink market. My role includes but is not limited to the following: •Analysed spend on office supplies and personal protective equipment (PPE). Tendered for said categories. resulting in 10% and 15% reduction in cost respectively. •Raising group purchase orders (PO) and delivery confirmation processes, ensuring timely escalation to the Finance team. Investigating and resolving discrepancies between POs and invoices. •Managing the centralized procurement database of suppliers and contracts, providing information and data as requested by Group stakeholders. •Managing and executing new supplier requests for UK and Ireland sites. •Liaising with internal stakeholders and gaining feedback about material, products, and goods quality and service from the suppliers offering recommendations for proactive actions. •Building positive supplier relationships, monitoring service level agreement (SLA) and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). Recommending actions in response to patterns of issues identified to rectify underperformance and/or adherence to contractual agreements. •Assisting the Procurement Manager on sourcing, negotiating and contracting goods and services at the best possible price, availability and delivery terms.
