Learning never stops. In these past six months I experienced that to progress, you must be open to learning. Each day holds a new experience, and these experiences enrich us. We learn to appreciate each experience and it starts to reflect on your work, your thoughts, your art and your architecture.I joined Sensen Designs in the first week of January, and though my training of twenty one week’s was over by the end of May, I extended my internship period as long as I could because I liked working in the firm. The involvement in the projects, exposure to new techniques and hands on experience were the factors that didn’t allow me to cut my internship period short. The firm provided me opportunities to challenge my problem solving and designing abilities on various occasions. The whole firm regularly visited many lecture series, exhibitions and art fairs whenever the chance dawned upon us. Design X Design, lecture by Ar. Rahul Mehrotra and Ar. Raj Rewal were a few of the events that I attended as part of Sensen Designs.Mr. Rahul Sen, who is also a visiting professor in School of Planning and Architecture, New Delhi spared no chance to lecture us about the design principles and architectural ethics we needed to follow to produce design solutions that were honest and well researched. I attended many client meetings, meetings with consultants and contractors. I met different vendors and facilitated their interaction with the clients. The training provided me different opportunities to learn and I didn’t allow myself to miss any of them. The process of learning never stops, the more you expose yourself the more you learn.
