I worked with Selma for just over two years and can highly recommend her skills for team or project lead positions. Selma is very organised and leads a team in a way that really gets the best out of her team members. She has excellent communication and analytical skills and knows how to motivate her team. Besides her excellent management skills, Selma is also very knowledgeable about her subject matter and can impart this knowledge to her team and beyond.

I have worked with Selma when I joined Melbourne University from Harvard and started leading the only CAREN system in Australia. CAREN is The World’s Most Advanced Biomechanics Lab. Selma was introduced to me from Motek (i.e. Manufacture of the CAREN system) to help design, develop and implement a comprehensive project to investigate cognitive motor interferences. We had numerous meetings almost every week. In a short time, she helped me develop the application which could have taken us years. She has an amazing understanding of neuro-rehabilitation and engineering methods to study human biomechanics. I really enjoyed her meticulous method in collaborating with us where I always could reply on her responses for my never ending questions. This collaboration has been very fruitful including scientific publications, design of new projects such as a PhD program and other industry usages of the application she helped me develop. She will be an asset to any organization she joins and I wish her all the best!

My PhD project aims to determine the age-related changes in neural control of posture. Using transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) and peripheral nerve stimulation (PNS) we investigate modulation on cortical and spinal level between easy and more difficult standing postures in young and old adults. Moreover, we use functional MRI to study the age-related changes in neural correlates of dual tasking in the context of a balance task.
