This material is the main component of the asphalt we use for roads and highways today. As a graduate student researcher at Koc University, I worked in collaboration with TUPRAS to render their en product more valuable. The goal has been to invent a material, method, and processing to eliminate icing on asphalt surfaces at freezing temperatures. • Designed a polymeric composite material stabilized by nano-particles and gelation technique. • Mastered Pickering-type stabilization. • Performed rheological and surface contact angle studies.
