  Administration of all state and federal grants received by the Yolo County Sheriff’s Office: Boating Safety and Enforcement (DBW), Off-Highway Vehicle Recreation (OHVR), Bureau of Land Management Marijuana Eradication, and the private sector grants received by our Animal Services Division. Administration includes responsibility for the grant application process, budget creation and monitoring, statistical data compilation and quarterly reporting, and preparation of reimbursement requests. I have worked closely with the sergeants assigned to the Patrol Division to identify opportunities and resources for the community outreach and education components of our DBW and OHVR grants. Historical grant activities include administering the multi-year, multi-agency Cal- MMET program. As the grantee, Yolo County represented the eight participating counties of the Southern Initiative of the Northern Operational Region and acted as pass through agency for funds. I was responsible for the disbursement of over 1.5 million dollars, ensuring program compliance, and acting as the singular liaison with the state OES for all participants. Other duties include support to the Sheriff’s Office through the Finance Division: accounts payable/receivable, payroll, special fund and trust reconciliations, acting as a Sheriff’s Office representative at Board of Supervisors meetings, and drafting press releases, service, and revenue contracts.
